Covestro CEO talks new strategies for accelerating circular economy
The ongoing and rapid urbanization in cities is leading to the generation of large volumes of plastic waste. In order to have a sustainable future for our planet, more and more enterprises are joining the creation of a circular economy.
In a webcast held recently, Covestro CEO, Dr. Markus Steilemann, said that the company is implementing a new strategic program for accelerating the change to a circular economy in the chemical and plastics industries. The strategic program focuses on four topics: alternative raw materials, innovative recycling, renewable energy, and joint solutions.
During the Q&A session of the webcast, Dr. Markus Steilemann answered some questions from international media, and analyzed the development of circular economy from different perspectives.
