(Interview) Demag eyeing growing medical industry in China

At Medtec China 2023, Pietro Scattarreggia, CEO of Demag Plastics Machinery Ningbo Co., Ltd., told Adsale Plastics Network that the Chinese medical industry will grow in next few years amid the current slowdown of demand.

An all-electric IntElect machine produced IVD components with a weight of only 0.17g and good dimensional accuracy at Medtec China 2023.


An all-eletric IntElect machine was showcased at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag’s booth. The machine can realize fast axis movement and continuous axis position control, and it offers the benefits of high repeatability, high precision and high-volume production with multiple cavities.


Pietro Scattarreggia emphasized that the company has a long history and a lot of know-how in how to adapt and adjust the equipment used for medical production for different clean room levels.
