How can we make plastic recycling more efficient? At K 2025, equipment manufacturers have offered some exciting new solutions.

 

EREMA is expanding its EcoGentle plasticizing technology to the Intarema series of recycling machines. This extension broadens its application from the established use in Vacurema and Vacunite systems, which primarily process PET, to include HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, and BOPET.

 

Starlinger's new recoSTAR dynamic art recycling system focuses on post-consumer waste streams, such as films, fibers, and foamed plastics. This line is designed to handle heavily contaminated inputs with elevated moisture from storage or washing, aiming to produce high-quality regranulate suitable for demanding applications.

 

To enhance the removal of metal impurities from plastic waste, Sesotec has introduced an AI-powered metal detection and separation system. Utilizing advanced algorithms, this system quickly identifies and sorts metal contaminants, ensuring the highest purity of recycled plastic.

 

It is clear that the trend in plastic recycling equipment is moving towards smarter AI, space-efficient designs, and more energy-efficient production while achieving remarkable output.
