Unisource Engineered Solutions wins PAC Awards with unique wine packaging
Unisource Engineered Solutions (UES), a US based company, recently received two design awards in the Packaging Association Canada (PAC) Leadership competition. A sleek corrugated case that both protects and showcases Terrien Wine received a Gold award in the Sustainable Packaging Branded Package category and a Silver award in the Corrugated Containers-Structural category.
The package is a 12-bottle laydown wine case, which was created by UES working side by side with winery owner Michael Terrien, eliminates the need for repacking and enables direct-to-customer (DTC) shipping. The UES design also met the client’s request for a “simple, clean aesthetic that was also environmentally friendly.”
“The PAC awards validate that Unisource’s design capabilities are truly world class,” said Andrew Gustyn, Director of Sustainability – North America for Unisource Worldwide. Gustyn accepted Unisource’s awards at a gala PAC dinner in April. "Designing and making this case a reality was a great partnership between UES and Terrien Wineries. Michael Terrien came to us with a vision that led to our design team’s ultimately developing the winning package."
Unisource Engineered Solutions has facilities located in New Berlin, WI and Cerritos, CA. The state-of-the-art engineering centers are staffed by structural engineers, creative designers, and program managers.
