AMI to launch new conferences on medical polymers

Source: Date :2006-09-27 Editor :
Applied Market Information will launch two new conferences in Europe and North America on manufacturing with medical polymers next year. Medical Moulding & Extrusion 2007 will take place from April 24-26, 2007 at Cologne, Germany, and Medical Grade Polymers 2007 will be held in Philadelphia, US from September 12-13, 2007.

The medical device market worldwide is predicted to have a value of 341 billion euros in 2010. It is a high value market for processors and standards are very high at every step from cleanroom technology to material traceability paperwork. There are new challenges all the time with customers specifying new properties such as extended durability, transparency, autoclavability, and FDA and USP approvals for materials.

These new conferences aim to bring together top materials experts, medical molders and extruders, device designers and manufacturers, material specifiers and suppliers. The events will provide a forum to discuss the latest medical grades of plastics and elastomers, and specialist processing technology available to the industry in 2007.
