Dow announced Cherry Zhu, Global Product Director for Dow Consumer Solutions as Dow Greater China President, effective April 1. In her new role, Zhu will lead the strategic business growth, market development and profit & loss for Greater China. She will report to Puay Koon Chia, Dow Asia Pacific President.

Zhu will continue to be based in Shanghai, where her leadership will also play a key role enhancing the employee experience for over 3,200 Dow employees in Greater China and advocating a culture of inclusion and diversity.

Zhu has served Greater China and the Asia Pacific region in several leadership capacities since joining Dow in 2001. She held her most recent role as Global Product Director for Dow Consumer Solutions, since 2020, leading Engineered Materials and Elastomers growth and managing business profit and loss.

Prior to that, she served as the Asia Pacific Product Director for Dow Elastomers, a role she assumed in 2017, after serving as the Asia Pacific Commercial Director for Dow Automotive Systems from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, she contributed to Dow’s marketing, product sales and business development in a variety of business unit roles.
