Alvin HU succeeds Paul Lindblad as the new president of WACKER China effective May 1, 2023. Moreover, Alvin has assumed global responsibility as Vice President, Functional Additives (S-F), WACKER SILICONES.

Alvin joined WACKER in 2002. Previously, he was at GE Plastics. While at WACKER, Alvin has held multiple important positions successively. His earlier posts included General Manager of WACKER Dymatic Silicones Co., Ltd as of 2009, and Chairman of the Board.

Alvin HU becomes the new president of WACKER China effective May 1, 2023.

Since 2016, Alvin has been Vice President of WACKER China, taking charge of the Polymers business first and then Silicones. Alvin majored in Chemical Mechanical Engineering and obtained his MBA degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

“China, as the biggest single market of WACKER Group, will continue to play an important role. I am honored to take on this responsibility as the President of WACKER China.” Alvin HU said. “I shall work with our teams to forge ahead with business, to meet customer needs with better products and services, and to achieve WACKER’s development goals in China.”
