Fakuma 2023: motan presents new product line for medical and pharmaceutical applications

The motan Group will present its new product line in the medical and pharmaceutical industries at Fakuma 2023, along with a selection of its energy-efficient ancillaries and CO2 calculator.

 

METRO G med material loaders

 

The newly designed METRO G med material loaders is specifically for plastics processors in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. They are based on the established METRO G series of system loaders for plastic granulate and meet all strict hygiene requirements according to FDA 21 CFR.

Special attention has been paid to process-safe use in all types of clean room. With high-quality FDA compliant seals and electropolished stainless steel surfaces, the special filters ensure reliable, dust and contamination-free operation.

 

The loaders also highlight the new membrane implosion vacuum valve, which does not require compressed air.

 

GRAVICOLOR 110 med dosing and mixing unit

 

The gravimetric batch dosing and mixing unit GRAVICOLOR 110 med is tailored to the same target group. Similar to GRAVICOLOR 110 that introduced earlier this year, motan developed this new FDA-compliant version for flexible and reliable mixing and dosing in injection molding, blow molding and extrusion applications.

Specially developed vertical slide valves dose and mix up to four different components precisely and with the highest recipe accuracy.

 

The integrated and improved IntelliBlend analysis function records the recipe, material and operating environment and documents all process data.

 

With this function, users can achieve continuous self-optimization of the system and consequently the best possible operating point with the highest recipe accuracy and consistent, high product quality.

 

Along with event-based logging, all parameter changes are stored in a control report and can be subsequently evaluated.

 

LUXOR SG small-volume dry air dryers

 

motan has incorporated the ecoPROTECT function as standard for the LUXOR SG small-volume dry air dryers. The mobile small dryers are a combination of process-safe technology and microprocessor control.

Depending on unit size, the function reduces 10% energy consumption during material drying process. It also ensures a secure and reliable drying without over- or under-drying.

 

CO2 calculator

 

CEO Sandra Füllsack explained that the company expected more transparency and standards on plastic processors. With means of energy monitoring, energy consumption of each individual process step can be recorded and calculated.

 

Processors can then carry out systematic optimization of energy consumption of production processes with these data.

 

motan also promote knowledge transfer of technology, function, production process, setting and operation of individual machines. Its academy values the interrelationships of material management in theory and practice. The company also continuously develop processes and products which contributes to sustainability.
