Pay on production hours: KraussMaffei offers flexible usage-based payment model

Facing market volatility, plastic product manufactures may defer long-term investment in machinery and equipment. The new flexible payment model introduced by KraussMaffei would fit the bill.

 

flexPay is a usage-based payment model, with a variable down payment per machine and a monthly payment, which consists of a basic fee and an hourly rate.

 

Base fee depends on customer’s demand on flexibility, meaning the hourly rate which varies depending on the production hours of the machine.

New financing model flexPay delivers a range of benefits.

 

Costs reduced by up to 80%

 

KraussMaffei says this new financing model offers a range of benefits. In the event of fluctuating order situation, for example if an order is suddenly canceled, the costs incurred are also reduced by up to 80% compared with conventional financing.

 

It also offers more liquidity to the company, always the latest hardware equipment and digital products in production. And thus, resulting less energy consumption and smaller CO2 footprint.

 

Furthermore, it improves overall equipment effectiveness, which is ensured by both machine maintenance and digital services.

 

With flexPay, digital transformation of production can be pushed forward easily and without risk, raising further valuable potential.

 

Available now for all machine series

 

flexPay is available for all machine series and configurations from KraussMaffei. Removal and industrial robots are also included on request. It was included in the company’s smartFinance portfolio, together with classic credit financing, individualized leasing contracts and futurePay.

 

With a successful one-year pilot phase, flexPay is now officially in market.
