Biodegradable cleaning solution with circular carbon capture

In collaboration with LanzaTech Global, Dow introduced EcoSense 2470 Surfactant – a sustainable solution utilizing innovative carbon capture technology for the home care market.

EcoSense 2470 Surfactant utilizes carbon capture technology to contribute to circularity.

EcoSense 2470 Surfactant, which is a drop-in solution, sets apart from other biosurfactants and biobased surfactants by the distinctive production method utilizing recycled carbon technology from LanzaTech.

Due to their water-attracting and water-repelling nature, they possess versatile properties suitable for diverse home care applications and exhibit unique interfacial characteristics, rendering them appealing in terms of cleaning, foam or emulsion stabilization.

LanzaTech Global, a carbon recycling company transforming waste carbon into sustainable raw materials, contributes to the development of surfactant that help achieve circular economy without sacrificing performance. The company is a first mover in an innovative method that involves transforming recycled carbon into ethanol.

The official launch of EcoSense 2470 Surfactant will take place during a presentation at the Innovation Forum at the SEPAWA Congress, held from October 25 – 27 in Berlin, Germany.
