China rolls out visa-free policy to five European countries and Malaysia

In order to facilitate the high-quality development of exchanges between China and foreign countries as well as the high-level opening up to the outside world, China has decided to expand the scope of unilateral visa-free countries on a trial basis.

A unilateral visa-free policy will be implemented for ordinary passport holders from six countries: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia. The trial period will be from December 1 in 2023 to November 30, 2024.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning announced today (Nov 24), citizens from the above six countries may enter China without a visa and stay for no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purpose.
