ZHCC's New Product - 1,3-Dioxolane

1,3-Dioxolane is one of the comonomers used by ZHCC to produce POM. The 1,3-Dioxolane production of the 4000 t/a marks the self-sufficiency of the main raw materials for POM products, further optimizing the POM production structure, and promoting the company to take a crucial step in the new journey of "capacity expansion and chain extension".

The 1,3-Dioxolane project has solved the problems such as fewer manufacturers, high prices, tight supply, and increased impurity content during long-distance transportation. It has ensured the stable supply of raw materials, provided convenient conditions for the quality control of POM products, significantly reduced production costs, and saved 16 million yuan annually. Meanwhile, 1,3-Dioxolane is also a benefit contributing product that can be sold externally in fields such as electrolytes, pharmaceutical intermediates, high-end inks, and sealing adhesives to create new profit growth points.

    ZHCC always adheres to a high starting point in product quality control. Normally, 1,3-Dioxolane with 99.9% purity can meet the needs of POM production. Based on the advanced production process of continuous method with low energy consumption, high yield, easy refinement, and few impurities, our company continuously strengthens the optimization and innovation capabilities of basic processes. In the process of equipment installation, debugging and feeding operation, blockages and difficulties encountered during the promotion process are solved in a timely manner, After the full process was completed by the end of September 2021, the staff made further efforts to adjust parameters and optimize operations. In just 3 days, a “polymerization grade” 1,3-Dioxolane product with a purity of 99.99% was successfully produced. Compared with industrial grade, the purity was improved greatly. The impurity content of peroxides, reboilers and other impurities in the product was less than 80ppm, which is more conducive to the high-quality polymerization reaction. The impurity content in our product is lower than the 1,3-Dioxolane supplied in the domestic market.

      ZHCC also provides “sample service” by delivering customers a suitable amount of samples for free for testing purposes. For special requirements of customers in the high-end fields of electrolytes and pharmaceuticals, we will provide customized products accordingly. Our plant has platforms for loading bulk liquids and tankers to meet the differentiated requirements of customers, and also offer nationwide distribution of bulk and bulk liquids.
