Aptar Pharma, a supplier of drug delivery systems, services and active material science solution, announced the opening of its new Aptar Mumbai production facility in the Palava Industrial and Logistics Park at Taloja, Mumbai, India.


Inaugurated on December 1, 2023, the new site occupying 7,000m2 have already begun assembly operations and product delivery. The site is with increased manufacturing capabilities and expanded to offer more innovative product solutions.


It has also received ISO 15378 certification, an internationally valid standard for pharmaceutical packaging which has direct contact with medicial products.

Began in early 2022, the expansion aligns with the company’s localization strategy, and is a direct response to the growing customer demand in South East Asia region.

 

“This new site in Mumbai provides a larger space, not only for the expansion of our well-established assembly operations, but also to fuel further localization and support our vision of bringing in other Aptar Pharma technologies suitable for the Asian market,” commented Sanjay Kapote, President, India & Head, Pharma.
