Effectively immediately, FKuR will be the official distributor for I’m green bio-based ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, UK, Turkey, Israel and India.

Braskem uses sustainably sourced sugarcane-based ethanol to produce I’m green bio-based EVA. During its growth, sugarcane binds CO2 from the atmosphere. Depending on the grade, the bio-based content is between 45% to 48%, based on the ASTM Dd6866 standard.

Braskem’s I’m green bio-based EVA combines features of flexibility, lightness and resistance. This plastic fits many applications, including footwear, toys, sporting goods, tatami mats and foams.

As drop-in plastic, I’m green bio-based EVA has the same process properties as its fossil counterpart and can be processed on existing equipment.

Examples of I’m green bio-based EVA application include shoe soles and perfumed fragrance tags.

Under the agreement, FKuR not only acts as a logistics partner for the countries covered but also be a contact for the technology and development, as well as providing application and marketing support.
