Clariant will display its latest portfolio of additives, delivering on both efficiency and sustainability, at CHINAPLAS 2024, which will take place in Shanghai, China on April 23-26.

Licocare RBW Vita waxes

Clariant’s Licocare RBW Vita waxes are based on renewable bio-based rice bran wax feedstocks from non-food materials, offering at least a 98% Renewable Carbon Index certification.

Clariant’s Licocare RBW Vita waxes are based on bio-based rice bran feedstocks.

With superior performance and sustainability, they are a natural replacement to traditional coal-based montan waxes. The waxes are highly compatible with a variety of polymers, especially Nylon, Polyester, PVC, and various engineering polymers.

Licocare RBW Vita waxes provide the same attributes of lubrication, dispersion, release, and nucleation as their montan wax counterparts.

AddWorks portfolio with new stabilizers

Clariant continuously develops its portfolio of additive solutions. Its AddWorks range focuses on both chemistries with specific performances and safe physical forms for enabling material handling and processing.

AddWorks TFB 117 improves the quality of nylon fibers, stabilizing and smoothing fiber production process. It protects color, improves heat stability and the mechanical properties of nylon fibers, ensuring smooth spinnability with less filament breakage, even at lower temperatures or high speeds.

AddWorks PKG 113 provides exceptional polymer melt protection, high film productivity and quality by enhancing color, transparency and reducing fisheyes. It also provides superior dyne retention, facilitating further metal coating processes, reducing energy consumption and printability.

At CHINAPLAS 2024, Clariant will showcase AddWorks PPA, its upcoming PFAS-free product line for Polymer Processing Aids compositions, designed for polyolefin extrusion application.

Additives for e-mobility

Clariant’s Exolit OP 1400 is a high-performance halogen-free flame retardant addressing a key trend in e-mobility – charging at higher voltages for faster charge.

The usage of 1000 volts in contemporary chargers introduces a different set of risks to mitigate. Exolit OP 1400 meet this shift demands materials with higher flame retardancy and greater resistance to electrical tracking.

In addition, the Exolit OP Terra version, based on renewable carbon, will help the industry in the transition towards higher circularity.
