BASF supports Panasonic’s standing study luminaire with optical film

BASF supported the development of Panasonic “SHIYUE” standing study luminaire with its optical film product NovaFlex GlareControl, creating a comfortable and healthy lighting environment to users.

BASF's NovaFlex GlareControl is an optical film providing excellent anti-glare feature and safeguarding eyes well-being.

BASF’s NovaFlex optical film products are based on the innovative FunTex technology, enabling the production of micro-structured films using a roll-to-roll process.

NovaFlex GlareControl incorporates millions of micro lenses that control the direction of light. Compared to luminaires without anti-glare technology, the Panasonic product equipped with BASF’s optical film reduces more than 50% of light emitting towards users’ eyes.

This achievement also allows Panasonic’s luminaire to meet the requirements of the highest AAAAA performance level, making this product one of the first standing study luminaire products in China certified with the highest AAAAA performance level.
