Halogen-free with low-smoke characteristics, Desmopan FR can achieve an optimal balance of durability, safety and design flexibility.

It delivers exceptional performance, combining superior chemical resistance, high mechanical strength to withstand significant strain, and compliance with stringent regulations like VW-1, IEC 60332-1-2, RoHS and REACH.

Covestro continuously innovate and adapt its solution. The Desmopan FR series can be customized to precise specifications.

“Recognizing the competitive cable industry’s need to adapt to market trends, we offer a range of performance levels, enabling customers to achieve the optimal balance of mechanics, usability and flexibility,” said Dr Michael Schmidt, Global Innovation Head TPU.

In addition, Covestro provides the FR series in partially bio-based grades to meet the sustainability requirements, particularly in the consumer electronics and mobility sectors.
