High-performance PC resin from the Mitsubishi Chemical Group is adopted for the casing of Nothing Phone (2a).

XANTAR is a high-performance PC resin with excellent transparency, impact resistance, flame retardancy, heat resistance and electrical properties.

XANTAR K series is a special polycarbonate resin that was developed using polymerization and compounding technologies. Compared to general PC resins, XANTAR K series has higher surface hardness and therefore, it provides improved scratch resistance.

As Nothing Phone (2a) has the unique feature of a transparent casing and a luminous back. XANTAR K series was selected due to its transparency, surface hardness and workability.

The MCG Group also offers a broad lineup of products, including those with high flame resistance, low dielectric dissipation factor, low birefringence, selective wavelength absorption, water repellency, and recycling.
