Arburg at Fakuma 2024: German premiere of latest electric machine

Jul 4, 2024

Arburg reveals its participation at Fakuma 2024, which will take place in Friedrichshafen, from 15 to 19 October.

At the upcoming Fakuma, the German plastic processing machine manufacturer will exhibit eleven machines at its stand, with another seven additional Allrounders on partner stands. Among the exhibits, Arburg will highlight its latest injection molding machine720 E Golden Electric hybrid Allrounder – debuting for the first time in Germany.

The latest machine, 720 E Golden Electric hybrid Allrounder, will make its German debut at Fakuma 2024.

The interactive platform – arburgSOLUTIONworld – will also highlight compelling upcoming topics of plastic processing for visitors.

German premiere: latest electric machine with slimline design

Following its world premiere at NPE in the US and its European premiere in Poland, Arburg’s latest machine, the 720 E Golden Electric hybrid Allrounder, will make its German debut at Fakuma 2024.

This machine is a vertical extension to the range of the Allrounder electric series. With a clamping force of 2,800 kN and slim design, it stands out by featuring electric precision, process stability and extremely slimline installation area.

At the fair, Arburg will provide a demonstration using a 24-cavity mold from Hack to produce razor covers.

Exhibits for wide range of applications

With a total of 18 exhibits, Arburg will demonstrate its support in a wide range of efficient plastic parts production, including multi-component and paper injection molding, recyclate and LSR processing, robotic systems, complex turnkey solutions and additive manufacturing.

Other exhibits include:

- Electric Allrounder 630 A, also in a new slimline design, produces high-quality plastic glass from copolyesters. A new linear Multilift Select 16 robotic system is used to handle tasks.

- An Allrounder 570 H “Ultimate” with new hybrid machine technology allows high-speed production for medical application. Some 64 syringe plungers are manufactured in a material-optimized product design.

- An electric Allrounder 370 A will demonstrate the innovative paper injection molding, a project by Arburg with its partners Model and Biofibre. Instead of plastic granulate, the exhibit turns paper pearls into positioning tools for furniture connectors. The new “aXw Control RecyclatePilot” ensures a stable shot weight.

- Allrounder More 2000 will demonstrate sophisticated two-component injection molding, processing thermoplastics (PBT) and liquid silicone (LSR) to make ready-to-use spatulas. This application is automated by a Yaskawa six-axis robot.

- A turnkey system centred around a vertical Allrounder 375 V will demonstrate how vacuum housings production with space-saving feature. A Kuka six-axis robot is mounted within the footprint. The Arburg Turnkey Control Module (ATCM) is also used to help seamlessly track material and process data.

- A production cell centred around the hydraulic Allrounder 470 C Golden Edition with Multilift Select 8 will produce small plastic dolphins by a fully automated process. The material is a post-consumer recyclate (PCR) made from old fishing nets.

- An electric Allrounder 520 A will produce flip-top closures for personal care sector. Servo-electric direct drives from the subsidiary AMKmotion ensure speed and precision.

Interactive exhibition area to demonstrate expertise in wide applications

The interactive exhibition area, arburgSOLUTIONworld, will demonstrate Arburg’s comprehensive advisory and solution expertise in all aspects of plastics processing, including productivity increases, efficiency, sustainability, and shortage of skilled workers and subsidies.

Arburg experts will provide advice at the six stations situated around the four-meter-high LED column.

A completely new exhibition wall with an integrated transparent Allrounder 270 A machine will also provide a deeper insight into the electric drive components and the information technology networking system.
