Food container with innovative TamperFlag popping up when opened

Oct 24, 2024

Novolex introduces the new, rigid, clear TamperFlag containers, manufactured by Novolex brand Waddington North America (WNA), to safeguard food safety and reassure consumers about the product security.

The TamperFlag rigid containers feature tamper-evident “flag”. It is activated automatically in a single step when the hinge container lid is closed. Once opened, the TamperFlag pops up and stays raised, alerting consumers that the container has been unsealed.

These clear, rigid containers eliminate tear strips and the need for shrink bands, which reduce plastic waste. They can also be made with 25% and 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic content, supporting sustainability and circularity in food packaging.

Other features of the new containers include smooth surface area for customer labels and leak-resistant design. They can also be stacked to save shelf space.

Available for both wet and dry grab-and-go snacks, the TamperFlag containers are available in sizes from 8 to 32 ounces.
