CHINAPLAS: SML introduces cast film line for easy-to-recycle films production

At CHIINAPLAS 2025, SML showcases its latest high-efficiency production equipment, highlighting the new multi-functional cast film line and the advanced TRIPLEX coating and laminating line. 


These systems are designed to enhance capacity, productivity, and energy efficiency while promoting recyclability to support the development of a circular economy.

 

SML's new cast film line features a further-developed MDO (Machine Direction Orientation) unit, specifically designed for the production of easy-to-recycle mono-oriented films. In addition to standard products such as CPP, CPE, Cast-PET, and barrier films, the line can produce easy-to-recycle stand-up pouches with thicknesses ranging from 15 to 60 µm. 


The advanced MDO unit not only improves film properties but also simplifies maintenance, offering versatile solutions for both food and non-food packaging.

Besides, SML's Triplex coating and laminating line introduces a new approach to producing aseptic packaging materials. This line enables the cost-effective production of liquid packaging board for dairy products or fruit juices in a single step, while maintaining equally high quality for both thin paper and rigid paperboard. With optimized product changeovers that reduce waste, comfortable operation, and easy maintenance, the line offers an excellent cost-performance ratio.
