CHINAPLAS 2025: PRET spotlights high-performance materials for automotive sector

At CHINAPLAS 2025, Shanghai PRET Composites spotlights several innovative products, including flame retardant material for power battery, low-carbon and recycled composite for automotive sector, as well as LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) film used for 5G base station and medical applications.

 

Flame retardant materials for power batteries  

 

As the new energy vehicle industry continues to expand rapidly, advancements in technology have also brought safety concerns to the forefront. PRET's flame-retardant polymer materials, including PC/ABS, PP, PA, and PBT, are now widely utilized in power battery applications.

 

These materials meet the stringent UL94 V0 flame retardancy and electrical performance standards while offering exceptional long-term physical durability. Additionally, they contribute to enhancing the energy density of power batteries and extending the lifespan of battery packs, which is aligned with the principles of environmental sustainability and lightweight design in new energy vehicle development.

Low-carbon and recycled composite

 

PRET has introduced low-carbon and recycled composite as an alternative solution for traditional PP materials in the automotive sector. Made from plant fibers and recycled polymer materials (such as PP/ABS/PA) with a lightweight design, the composite can significantly reduce the carbon dioxide emissions generated during the automotive manufacturing process.

 

As said, every onr ton of PRET's recycled PP material filled with natural fibers can reduce more than 60% carbon emissions of the product. Moreover, this material can create special appearance effects, offering new material solutions for low-carbon and sustainable vehicles.

LCP films for 5G base stations and medical equipment 

 

LCP film is a high-performance, eco-friendly engineering plastic renowned for its exceptional properties in electronic communication and medical equipment applications.

 

With superior dielectric performance, LCP film minimizes transmission losses in high-frequency and high-speed environments, significantly improving communication quality. It also boasts high mechanical strength, low moisture absorption, and excellent dimensional stability, making it ideal for enhancing the space utilization efficiency and reliability of FCCL (Flexible Copper Clad Laminate).

 

PRET has established LCP film production line using the blown-film method, achieving localized production of LCP films. This breakthrough is driving the advancement of domestic communication materials and supporting the growing demands of 5G technology and medical innovation.
