CHINAPLAS 2025: Spotlight on green, smart and high-tech solutions

From April 15-18, CHINAPLAS 2025, the 37th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, will be held with the theme “Transformation • Collaboration • Sustainability” at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, China.

 

Surpass the scale of 2023 edition in Shenzhen, the four-day premier trade fair will host 4,500 exhibitors from around the world, with 380,000sqm of space occupying all 19 halls of the exhibition center, showcasing the latest innovations in plastics and rubber solutions.

 

In addition to nine country/region pavilions, namely Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Taiwan region (China), Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., the organizer of CHINAPLAS, sets up 17 theme zones at the fairgrounds.

 

CHINAPLAS 2025 features three main sectors: machinery & equipment, chemicals & raw materials, and innovative products. Among these, the machinery & equipment sector occupies 70% of the exhibition space, with global leading manufacturers of injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and other plastics and rubber processing machines presenting in Halls 1-13.

Unveiling innovations in circular economy

 

Sustainability and circular economy continue to be one of the key focuses at CHINAPLAS. This focus aligns with China's determination in tackling environmental challenges for a more sustainable future.

 

In particular, CHINAPLAS 2025 features three theme zones dedicated to sustainability and circular economy. At the Recycling Technology Zone, Recycled Plastics Zone, and Bioplastics Zone, which cover 16,000sqm of space, renowned suppliers showcase their latest recycling technologies, recycled materials, and biobased solutions.

 

Leading recycling machinery manufacturers and sustainable material suppliers will gather in these zones, including ALBA, Avian, EREMA, eSun, Faurecia, Jwell, NatureWorks, NGR, Sesotec, Sorema, Starlinger, TOMRA, Veolia, ZERMA, etc.

 

There will be two live demonstrations of two recycling production lines, focusing on “Bottle-to-Bottle Closed-Loop Recycling” and “Turning PE Waste into Treasure”. Collaborating with renowned sports brands, the SportsTech Chic + Green concurrent event will showcase the innovative applications of circular plastics and rubber in sports products.

 

Besides, CHINAPLAS will introduce the Sustainable Plastics Packaging Networking Forum for the first time, connecting industry experts to explore sustainable packaging solutions. Again, the 6th Edition CHINAPLAS x CPRJ Plastics Recycling and Circular Economy Conference and Showcase is scheduled to be held on the day before the trade fair kicks off.

 

Transforming manufacturing with smart technologies

 

Encompassing technologies like automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT), smart manufacturing optimizes manufacturing processes and enhances production efficiency.

 

At CHINAPLAS 2025, the Injection Molding Solutions Zone and Injection Molding and Smart Manufacturing Solutions Zone cover a substantial space of 53,000sqm. An extensive range of smart manufacturing solutions and machinery will be unveiled in these two zones.

 

Visitors can learn more about how digitalization is shaping manufacturing from the exhibits and demonstrations of leading global suppliers like Arburg, Beckhoff, FANUC, Gimatic, JSW, Kawata, KEBA, KraussMaffei, Matsui, Star Seiki, Siemens, Wittmann, etc.

 

Championing PRSI principles for high technology

 

In addition to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and machines, CHINAPLAS 2025 will showcase plenty of high-tech plastic materials and solutions, including lightweight polymers, thermoplastic composites, functional additives, photovoltaic and packaging films, etc.

 

Notably, CHINAPLAS continues to support the development of Chinese niche companies that align with the principles of “Professionalization, Refinement, Specialization and Innovation (PRSI)” initiated by the Chinese government, with a total of 900 exhibitors that are recognized as PRSI companies presenting at CHINAPLAS 2025. 

 

These Chinese exhibitors will showcase their innovative solutions in advanced machinery and high-performance materials, exemplifying China is at the forefront of boosting innovation and driving transformation in the plastics and rubber industries.
