This year, the Germany-based blow molding pioneer Kautex Maschinenbau celebrates its 90th anniversary. At K 2025, the spotlight is on the Kautex Technikum in Bonn – the company’s very own “Idea Factory,” where concepts turn into market-ready products.

At Kautex Technikum, Kautex bundles its expertise in three domains: Plastics Know-How, Automation Know-How, and Technology Know-How.

• Plastics Know-How: Polymer expertise, in-house extruder and head design, simulation, testing, partnerships

• Automation Know-How: Integrated solutions including post processing like robotics, cooling, and quality assurance

• Technology Know-How: Patented innovations, such as innovative servo hydraulic Blue Hydraulic technology, modular controls, digital twins, sensor integration

Kautex's technical center is an Idea Factory where concepts turn into market-ready products. 

With four dedicated lab machines, the technical center offers customers a unique platform for simulation, prototyping, sampling, small-series productions and material testing.

At the K fairground, Kautex will have three highlight with partners in action:

• K-ePWDS/ SFDR system by Feuerherm: Precision wall thickness distribution

• InoEx radar technology: Real-time, non-destructive wall thickness measurement

• Technical Center insights: Direct exchange with Kautex engineers and developers

Besides, the company will organize an Open House at the Technical Center in Bonn on October 9 and 14, 2025. Visitors will experience direct interaction with experts, presentations from innovation partners and extrusion blow molding machines in live production:

• KEB20 GREY: Producing jerrycans

• SKYREEF 2.0 GREEN: Producing watering cans

Kautex and Jwell: Partnership combining the best

Kautex Maschinenbau was acquired by Jwell Machinery Group, the leading Chinese plastics processing machinery manufacturer, in 2023. Kautex then has evolved into a company that combines German engineering excellence and process know-how with Jwell’s industrial strength and extended global reach.
