ENGEL to show “Make for India” solutions at Plastindia 2026

Jan 23, 2026

ENGEL will have two product launches at Plastindia 2026. They are both developed exclusively for India – a fully electric injection molding machine and a new two-platen solution from Electronica Plastic Machines (Electronica), a member of the ENGEL Group since 2024.

Premiere: High-performance two-platen injection molding machine for Indian market

Manufactured specifically for the Indian market, a high-performance two-platen injection molding machine with 6,500 kN clamping force from ENGEL and Electronica Plastic Machines will make its debut at Plastindia 2026.

Electronica’s two-platen injection molding machine will make its debut at Plastindia 2026.

The machine will demonstrate technical injection molding, highlighting its enhanced performance and cost-efficiency. The solution offers high energy efficiency, short cycle times and outstanding repeatability, even with large shot weights.

The digital assistance system iQ weight control ensures consistently high quality by compensating for material fluctuations in real time, which can reduce scrap by up to 50%. The combination of intelligent software and efficient hardware delivers greater process reliability, quality and equipment efficiency.

First of its kind for Indian market: All-electric injection molding machine from Electronica

An all-electric injection molding machine with clamping force of 1,000 kN from Electronica will also be unveiled at Plastindia 2026. It combines high energy efficiency, excellent process stability and minimal maintenance.

The machine will demonstrate production of toothpaste tube closures, showcasing a solution that produce efficiently, improve part quality and meet stringent hygiene standards.

Thanks to its oil-free drive system, the fully electric machine minimizes contamination risks, while delivering precise, repeatable results with short cycle times and low energy consumption.

Compact medical production cell

ENGEL will also present a compact medical production cell based on a tie-bar-less victory 50 injection molding machine with 500 kN clamping force, demonstrates how precision, economic efficiency and minimal footprint can be combined in medical manufacturing.

The machine will demonstrate production of HDPE gel applicator tubes weighing 1.9 grams per part in a four-cavity mold from Vasantha, resulting in a total shot weight of 7.6 grams and a cycle time of just 11 seconds.

The key advantage of the tie-bar-less clamping unit is the ability to operate comparatively large molds on smaller machine sizes. As mold dimensions often determine machine selection rather than clamping force, processors can frequently choose a lower clamping force class. This significantly lowers space requirements. The unrestricted mold area also facilitates automation integration and enables fast, ergonomic mold changes.

The high precision of the victory series is ensured by ENGEL’s unique Force Divider technology, which distributes the clamping force evenly across the entire mold mounting area. This guarantees consistent cavity filling, excellent repeatability and stable part quality, even in demanding multi-cavity applications.

High-speed machine for packaging and household goods

For packaging and household goods segments, Electronica will show the Ventura 150 demonstrating production of PP utility box, showcasing how the combination of short cycle times, high precision and low energy consumption makes the production of packaging and household items significantly more efficient.

New level of autonomous machine control

Shortage of skilled workers in process engineering remains a constant challenge, particularly in medical technology and automotive supply. ENGEL addresses these demands with the new inject AI framework, which transfers the established assistance systems to a new level of autonomous machine control.

In demanding industries, the digital systems ensure complete traceability and reproducibility, reduce scrap and lower energy consumption. The iQ process observer continuously monitors more than 1,000 process parameters, detects the slightest deviations at an early stage and provides concrete recommendations for action before scrap occurs.

Together with the ENGEL Virtual Assistant (EVA) as continuous 24/7 support and the AI-based part finder for automated spare parts identification, this creates a digital ecosystem that increases efficiency along the entire value chain and paves the way for smarter, more autonomous production.
