CHINAPLAS: Go beyond with plastic solutions of Evonik

At CHINAPLAS 2026, under the theme “WE GO BEYOND WITH plastic solutions”, Evonik will highlight solutions tailored for the Chinese market, supplemented with cutting‑edge global technologies spanning various sectors.

 

Thermal management systems play a vital role in ensuring battery safety and performance for new energy vehicles (NEVs). Evonik’s VESTAMID PA12, known for excellent chemical resistance and thermal stability, is widely used in battery cooling lines, busbars, and energy storage systems. Meanwhile, gears made with VESTAKEEP PEEK offer superior solutions for automotive transmissions.

Low-altitude economy, as one of the key focus areas in China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, is entering a stage of rapid development. Evonik’s ROHACELL PMI foam, known for its ultra-lightweight and high-strength characteristics, is an ideal choice for structural components of electric vertical take‑off and landing aircraft (eVTOL). It helps aviation manufacturers achieve both lightweight design and safety, promoting the advancement of green air mobility.

 

As a pioneer in polymer 3D printing, Evonik’s INFINAM PA12 products show tremendous potential in precision manufacturing, customized components, and small‑batch production. Their high strength, chemical resistance, and excellent processing properties make them a preferred material for additive manufacturing in automotive, consumer goods, and medical device industries.

 

The patient‑specific cranial repair implants manufactured with Evonik’s VESTAKEEP Fusion filaments have obtained China’s first registration certificate for medical devices produced using FDM additive manufacturing technology, marking a significant milestone for personalized healthcare in the country.

 

Products using VESTAKEEP i4 3DF for spinal implants have also received the first registration certificate issued by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), bringing enhanced safety and precision to orthopaedic surgeries and benefiting more patients.

Evonik’s VESTAMID PEBA elastomers combine lightweight performance, exceptional impact resistance, and flexibility, making them the material of choice for midsoles and outsoles of high‑end sports shoes. They not only enhance comfort and durability but also meet sports brands’ demands for sustainable and high‑performance materials.

 

For plastic recycling, Evonik will showcase its innovative additive solutions, which can transform even contaminated plastic waste into high‑quality recyclates. The mechanical recycling process is optimized by the TEGO CYCLE and TEGO Sorb product lines, which effectively remove inks, labels, and residual odors during wet processing, ensuring the production of high‑quality recycled materials.
