Clariant strengthens route-to-market strategy in West Africa
Clariant appoints Gapuma Group, a London-based international trading company specializing in commodities and specialty chemicals, as a distributor of its Well Service Additives (WSA) portfolio across West Africa – Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, and Ghana.
Under the agreement, Gapuma Group will distribute Clariant's industry-recognized WSA portfolio across the three territories through its affiliated companies, including the HOSTADRILL, HOSTAMER, and HOSTASTIM product families for drilling, cementing, stimulation, and deliquification applications.
The appointment strengthens Clariant's route-to-market strategy across West Africa by combining Gapuma's established regional distribution network with Clariant's Well Service Additives portfolio.

Gapuma Group has an established presence across West Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. In 2026, Gapuma debuted in the ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors, entering the global ranking at No. 36.
