Evosys to show laser plastic welding solutions at Fakuma 2026

Aug 21, 2026

At Fakuma 2026, Evosys Laser GmbH will present its innovative solutions for laser plastic welding, including new generations of machines, tried-and-tested process modules, and measurement and testing methods for efficient, high-quality plastics processing.

Variants of the EVO 0800-TD process module.

The focus will be a live demonstration on welding, which clearly illustrate the capabilities of modern laser welding processes. At Evosys’ booth, both conventional through-beam welding and the advanced Evo2Step process directly on the EVO 0800-TD laser system will be presented. This will clearly illustrate how process windows can be expanded, tolerances better controlled and component quality reliably ensured.

Evosys will also present the absorption test device, which enables precise analysis of the absorption behavior along the weld path. This is a key parameter for the new two-stage laser welding process, Evo2Step. It allows different materials or material batches to be compared directly with one another.

EvoWeld Generation 2 – the flexible solution. Also suitable for the Evo2Step process, which can be used to join absorbent plastics.

The graphical display of multiple measurement results provides an immediate comparison of different samples. If the curves differ despite the same welding contour, the causes can be attributed to differences in material.

Where values deviate, the welding parameters can be specifically adjusted to ensure that the welding process remains stable and reproducible. In this way, consistently high-quality results are achieved in the laser processing of plastics.

“Through a combination of live demonstrations, a new generation of machines and metrological support, we are demonstrating how robust, cost-effective and future-proof manufacturing solutions can be realized,” explained Managing Director Holger Aldebert.
