BYK opens new mini-plant and laboratory in Shanghai and Guangzhou
Recently, BYK has strengthened its presence in the Chinese market with two new facilities opening – a laboratory in mid-July in Guangzhou and a mini-plant in mid-August in Shanghai.
Expanding technical service capabilities in southern China
The new laboratory was located at the South China New Material Industrial Park in Guangzhou. It is equipped with a wide range of instruments for testing various coating systems.

The range of services will gradually expand to include additional application areas, such as adhesives, printing inks, and materials for new energy materials.
Currently, the laboratory supports testing of water-based, solvent-based, and 100% systems, as well as analyses in the areas of leveling, rheology, dispersion, and defoaming.
Strengthening global production network
With an annual production capacity of 500 metric tons, the new mini-plant in Shanghai manufacturers silicone-based and silicone-free additives, as well as wax additives, for a wide range of industrial applications.
