“The investment marks another important milestone in BASF’s ‘local-for-local’ strategy. Building on BASF’s existing strong presence in Nanjing will further strengthen the company’s manufacturing, supply chain and technical support network and will enable us to better serve customers in the region,” added Gops Pillay, President, Global Operating Division of BASF.

The facility, with start-up expected by the end of 2028, will also provide a platform for closer collaboration with customers and partners across the semiconductor value chain, accelerating the development of semiconductor technologies through local expertise and collaboration.

This investment reinforces BASF’s commitment to supporting the development of China’s growing semiconductor industry through local manufacturing, technical expertise and reliable supply.
