INEOS launches new low-carbon olefins and polyolefins with half carbon footprint of EU industry average

Nov 5, 2026

INEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe launched INEOS LowINCO₂, a new range of low carbon olefins and polymers offering a carbon footprint up to half of the European industry average.

INEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe launched INEOS LowINCO₂.

This carbon footprint will reduce further when INEOS’ €5 billion Project ONE ethane cracker comes online.

Supporting customer’s Scope 3 emissions reduction target

Built on INEOS’ low-carbon olefins production, the low-carbon certification applies to the company’s full range of olefins and polymers produced across its European network. The range of low-carbon products helps customers to cut their Scope 3 emissions and accelerate progress toward their sustainability goals.

By using these materials, customers can substantially reduce the carbon footprint of end products across a broad range of downstream sectors.

LowINCO₂ olefins and polyolefins from INEOS are suitable for a wide range of essential applications, including lightweight transport components, water and gas distribution pipes, medical and healthcare products, consumer technology and electronics, food and beverage packaging, and construction materials.

These applications require high-performance materials with proven durability, safety and reliability, while increasingly demanding lower-carbon solutions across their value chains.

Going further with Project ONE

INEOS will further lower the footprint when Project ONE - Europe’s most sustainable cracker - starts up in Antwerp, setting new benchmarks for efficiency and environmental performance.
