Yizumi celebrates ultra-large die casting workshop commissioning at Wusha plant

Looking ahead, YIZUMI will continue innovating high-quality products, increasing scientific and technological R&D, accelerating digitalization and smart manufacturing transformation, enhancing its competitiveness and exploring international market opportunities.

Richard Yan, Chairman and CEO of YIZUMI, commented, “We have invested over RMB 2 billion in Wusha No. 3 Factory. Under this new project, we will establish a digitalized and smart factory to help customers upgrade and increase their product capacities.”

Wusha No. 3 Factory broke ground in May 2021 with a construction area of 260,000 square meters. It focuses on the deep integration of new generation information technology and advanced manufacturing technology.

Under the global operation, the company owns production bases in Shunde, Suzhou and India. The output in total will be more than 1000 sets of machines of different sizes per month.

In October 2022, YIZUMI New India Gujarat Factory was officially put into operation and its annual throughput of injection molding machines with clamping forces up to 4000 tons will exceed 2000 sets per year.

In the future, Wusha No.3 Factory will contribute RMB 2.5 billion annual throughput to the injection molding product lines.

Richard Yan stated that Wusha No. 3 Factory will work together with the other YIZUMI plants to develop a high-end smart equipment manufacturing group consisting of the company headquarters, production bases, industrial Internet, integrated solutions for molding, and incubation platforms.

YIZUMI believes that with the commissioning, its global industrial chain will be further completed, and its production capacity will exceed RMB 7 billion.

According to Richard Yan, Wusha No. 3 Factory mainly produces high-precision servo energy-saving injection molding machines. It is designed as a smart factory adopting flexible manpower line that can operate continuously for 24 hours.

Besides, it is equipped with flexible manufacturing system (FMS), intelligent central storage system, automatic spraying system and intralogistics system, smart equipment, and modern industrial software.

It runs through digitalized technology in different production processes such as order process, product design, configuration, production, logistics, final assembly and delivery.

Richard Yan emphasized, 'It will take us 3-5 years to turn Wusha No. 3 Factory into a data management driven factory. We aim to increasing our competitiveness by driving business with data and reducing needs of manpower.”

In addition, for the manufacture of new energy vehicles, the integrated die-casting process has advantages in light weight, environmental friendliness and cost. The die casting industry is launching breakthrough technologies and innovative equipment.

In 2022, YIZUMI brought out the LEAP series ultra-large die-casting machines and announced cooperation with leading OEMs like FAW, Changan Auto, and more.

The company also started constructing giant die casting machine workshop, and the workshop has lately been put into operation.

The workshop is located at Wusha No. 3 Factory, having an annual production capacity of 100 large / ultra-large die-casting machines. It adds production capacity of over RMB 1 billion.

The workshop features a crane of up to 300 tons, which can handle the assembly of ultra-large die-casting machines with locking forces up to 20,000 tons.
