Are you ready? They are ready. Loading for K 2022 in the swing

Arburg’s first machines have arrived at the K fairground, and the construction of the company's booth could start.

A total of eight hydraulic, hybrid and electric Allrounders with a clamping force of between 350 and 6,500 kN and two Freeformers for industrial additive manufacturing will be on show at Arburg’s main booth.

Arburg has adopted the message “There is only a Plan A” for its presence at K 2022. “Plan A” conveys that the company is committed to contribute to solve the important issues of sustainability, circular economy and carbon reduction.

The multifaceted topic will be highlighted in a much focused way at the “arburgGREENworld” pavilion in the VDMA Circular Economy Forum.

ENGEL’s first machines for the K trade fair show also arrived at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre.

At K 2022, ENGEL will emphasize the resource-saving processing of plastics with the company’s efficient injection molding solutions. With customized efficiency packages, ENGEL looks at the machine in combination with temperature control, intelligent device configuration and smart process control. As said, energy efficiency with savings of up to 67% can be achieved.

Close partnership along the value chain is essential for establishing a circular economy. In collaboration with partner companies, ENGEL will be demonstrating how to close the material cycle for high-end visible components made of ABS.

Integrating Roctool induction technology and digital solutions, high-quality housing parts with state of the art surfaces will be produced from PCR plastics at ENGEL’s main booth.

With a new process, ENGEL makes it possible to process plastic waste as flakes in injection molding directly after grinding. EREMA has started the preparations as well. Machines have been unloaded at the fairground. In Düsseldorf, the subsidiaries of the Group will present their technological innovations, services and support together at a booth.

Seven new recycling systems and components will be presented. Starting in the field of PET recycling, EREMA developed a new patented plasticization system for a throughput of up to 6,000kg/h and up to 10% less energy. More detailed information on this innovation will be announced during the trade fair.

Over the last few weeks, NETSTAL’s packaging exhibit was prepared and trimmed to peak performance at IML Solutions in Spain. All components were then loaded onto trucks and shipped to Düsseldorf.

The enhanced ELIOS 4500 will be displayed in action at K 2022. By switching to an all-electric clamping unit, the dry cycle of this high-performance machine is reduced by another 0.1 seconds to a new 1.4 seconds. The average power consumption of the machine is also reduced by 7kW. (Photo: NETSTAL)

The production of 150ml yogurt cups, made of certified renewable PP from SABIC, will be demonstrated. MCC Verstraete's new NextCycle IML is fully compatible with the PP recycling stream and allows the packaging to be mechanically recycled without the label impacting the PP.

Separation by material type is ensured by the integration of Holy Grail 2.0 digital watermarks. With the high-performance and energy-efficient ELIOS, NETSTAL compensates for the firmer thickness of the new label in the injection molding process with a correspondingly thinner wall thickness of the cup.
