Around the corner: Nike ISPA shoes built for disassembly and recycling

Nike ISPA team is going to debut two new footwear models, Nike ISPA Link and Nike ISPA Link Axis, to show the brand’s innovative capabilities and foretell its future in circular design.
The team has considered the circular design principle of “disassembly,” or the ability to easily take a product apart to recycle its contents, one of the more challenging principles to implement in footwear design.
Arriving in this June, the Nike ISPA Link shoe features three interlocking modules connected without glue, so that it can be taken apart and dropped off at the Nike stores which offer the Recycling & Donation service.
