Silent Dancer: The sustainable and creative electric motorcycle

The bike, called “Silent Dancer”, was inspired by the Japanese concept of Ikigai, which combines multiple passions, including riding, fashion, and art, to create an incredibly unique and custom LiveWire ONE.

Sustainable solutions were a focus during the customization process. One of the key sustainable solutions used was the ampliTex technical flax fiber reinforcements by Bcomp. The natural fiber composite was used to replace carbon fiber and plastic on the bike’s “fuel tank” cover, front fender, and fairing.

Bcomp is a Swiss-based company that provides lightweight solutions based on natural fibers. The company has developed a range of materials that combine the mechanical properties of traditional composites with the sustainability of natural fibers. Bcomp’s ampliTex is made from flax fibers, which are renewable, biodegradable, and have a drastically lower carbon footprint than carbon fibers.

Ikigai was also used as a guiding principle in the customization process. Dr. Woo combined his passion for riding, fashion, and art to create the unique and custom LiveWire ONE. It is introduced that “Silent Dancer” is Dr. Woo's concept of not just riding but dancing as he finds his flow and connection to the world around him through the benefits of electrification. 

The LiveWire customization project also aims to inspire creatives to push what’s expected of EV distributors. LiveWire CURRENT, located at Race Service in LA, aims to showcase a burgeoning community of creatives who have already made the organic link between owning a motorcycle and exploring unorthodox avenues of expression, whether it’s fashion, streetwear, or tattoos.
