Stäubli inaugurates R&D and Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Hangzhou, China

Yanjun Shen, Mayor of Hangzhou Qiantang District; Istvan Kocsis, Deputy Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai; Gerald Vogt, CEO of Stäubli Group; the management of Stäubli; representatives from industry associations; and customers and partners of the Group in China attended the inauguration ceremony.

Stäubli is a global industrial and mechatronic solution provider with four dedicated business divisions: Electrical Connectors, Fluid Connectors, Robotics, and Textile. The Group operates in 28 countries, with agents in 50 countries on four continents.

As part of the Group's development strategy, Stäubli has continuously promoted localization in recent years to further cultivate the Chinese market. Stäubli Hangzhou is the success model for local production and innovation upgrade.

Next to the Group’s existing base in Hangzhou, the new base occupies an area of 25,000sqm, providing the functions of production, R&D and technology application, sales, and customer service, offering plenty of space for future expansion.

Notably, distributed photovoltaic system is adopted at the new base to reduce carbon footprint, echoing Stäubli’s continuous implementation of sustainable development strategy and ESG management measures in Stäubli China.

By introducing advanced intelligent manufacturing systems, the new base facilitates process digitization and improves operational efficiency in production planning, process monitoring, quality testing, logistics and warehousing, etc.
