CIIE 2023: Shiseido promotes refillable beauty for sustainable packaging

Ultimune Fountain is a combination of Shiseido’s know-how in skin care and material science. After consumers bringing the empty bottles to the store, professional operators will clean and refill the empty bottles in a clean space.

In such way, the bottle bodies and pump heads are reused, achieving 100% recyclability.

After the exhibition, the program will be officially launched at the SHISEIDO counter in Yaohan, Pudong, Shanghai.

In addition, Shiseido has adopted the replaceable core packaging technology for the Eudermine Activating Essence.

The technology injects liquid into bottles instead of compressed air in a simple step, simultaneously shaping and filling plastic containers. It reduces carbon emissions by 70% and plastic use by 92%.

It is worth noting that the packaging technology can also effectively block 90% of the air during the filling process, ensuring the filling liquid is fresh.

At its stand, Shiseido also showcases the star products and their refill items launched in China, promoting refillable beauty for sustainable packaging and circular economy.
