WITTMANN machines contribute to automotive industry in Brazil

Injection molding of glove boxes with lids requires extremely high precision and surface quality. The MacroPower 650 injection molding machine from WITTMANN meets this requirement.

The two parts – glove box and its lid – are joined together by vibration welding. Geometries must be perfectly matched in order to get a good weld seam, which looks clean and lasts for a long time.

As an overall system supplier for Mueller/Tecnoplast, WITTMANN provides entire equipment, including injection molding machines as well as automation and auxiliaries, ranging from granulate feeding devices right up to granulators for in-line grinding and recycling of sprue.

This not only ensures high efficiency and quality standards, but also enhances material and energy efficiency, which contribute to sustainability.

The picture shows that sprue is partly reground directly beside the injection molding machine and subsequently re-processed.

Tecnoplast has established another product line for local production of headlights, rear lights, reflectors, lenses and light guides. Both polycarbonate and PMMA are being processed.

With this new business segment, the first SmartPower injection molding machines, also from WITTMANN, were added to the machinery.

The machine includes optimelt low-compression screws, specially developed for automotive lighting, to ensure a gentle plasticizing process to preserve the material undamaged.
