Talk with Market Leaders III: What roles do flame retardants play in new energy vehicles?

Safety is one of the crucial concerns for new energy vehicles which are driving the future mobility forward. In such context, car makers and OEMs can make the vehicles safer with flame retardants

 

In the third episode of the interview video series “Talk with Market Leaders III”, Andy Liu, Head of Sales Greater China, BU Additives, Clariant, explained the roles of flame retardants in ensuring the safety of new energy vehicles. He also analyzed the challenges and introduced the latest products.

 

Flame retardants play an important role in the safety of the battery pack and charging infrastructure. Meanwhile, more stringent standards and regulations are implemented to control the properties, hazards and sustainability of flame retardants.

 

Following success of the last two series, the new series “Talk with Market Leaders III” discusses hot topics of the plastics and rubber industry with market leaders, including circular economy, smart manufacturing, effective recycling, sustainable packaging and future mobility.
