(K-Interview) Piovan CEO sees stable market for next year
At the K 2022 fairground, Piovan Group presents a comprehensive portfolio of its advanced solutions. The company is leading in the development and manufacture of systems for storage, transport and treatment of plastics.
In the onsite interview with Adsale Plastics Network (AdsaleCPRJ.com), Filippo Zuppichin, CEO at Piovan Group, remarked that the key driver of technological development of Piovan is sustainability.
The company has invested heavily in technologies that facilitate recycled plastics processing to produce components, he said. For example, new technologies have been developed to filter contaminants and remove dust for stabilizing processing of recycled plastic.
Looking ahead to 2023, Filippo Zuppichin is optimistic about the market. The market had some irrational behavior in the beginning of this year, but now is more stable at a good level, he explained. “We are confident that next year we will also be able to grow like this year.”
He also mentioned that surging energy prices has low impact on Piovan that mainly assembles machines. Meanwhile, although the raw material prices increased in the last few months, it is now stabilizing. Therefore, 2023 will probably be “a more stable situation”.
In addition, Filippo Zuppichin introduced three highlight exhibits on show:
1) Condenso condensing unit. The unit is designed to condense the low boiling substances released from the plastic pellets, rPET or flakes during the heating process. The main feature is the innovative PureTech technology that removes VOC and contaminants.
2) Easylink+ automatic coupling station. It is able to manage up to 60 inlets/outlets with pipe size from 40-76 mm with minimum footprint. The integration with Winfactory 4.0 allows quality traceability and automatic setting of transport and line cleaning times.
3) VENTO film cooling and automatic gauge control system. A big advantage of the new VENTO is high flexibility. Thanks to the upgrade kit, it is possible to switch at any time from VENTO ST (only homogeneous bubble cooling) to the fully automatic system with profile thickness adjustment.
