Shanghai PRET Composites Co., Ltd. Group is a global supplier of engineered resins, specializing in virgin and sustainable compounds. The company has post-consumer recycled and post-industrial recycled formulations for PA6 and PA66, PP, PC and ABS.

 

PRET resins are used in many applications, such as electrical components, sealing systems, and automotive, both virgin and recycled options are available.

 

At Fakuma 2024, PRET highlights the applications of its recycled polyamide in the automotive industry. According to Matthew Poat, Senior Sales Manager, PRET Advanced Materials, the company’s recycled polyamide products are widely used in automotive parts in North America and China.  

 

For interior, PRET resins focus on appearance without compromising property requirements, and formulations of 30% and 50% recycled content are being used in vehicles today. Meanwhile, resins for exterior are formulated towards toughness and weatherability, while also meeting aesthetic standards

 

For under-the-hood application, the critical property is withstanding high temperatures. While virgin resins are often used, PRET’s sustainable PA6 and PA66 resins are used by multiple OEMs.
