Czech automaker takes sustainable interior materials to next level
Czech automobile manufacturer Škoda Auto takes sustainable materials to the next level in the interior design of its all-new Elroq model, with the seats and upholstery fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles and, for the first time, recycled post-consumer clothing.
The new Škoda Elroq boasts a spacious interior defined by clean, simple lines. Four design choices are available: Studio, Loft, Lodge, and Suite, each incorporating a greater proportion of sustainable materials.
For instance, the Loft Design Selection uses Recytitan - a material comprising 78% recycled PET and recycled post-consumer clothing; the Lodge Design features Technofil - a material contains ECONYL yarns made from regenerated nylon obtained from old fishing nets and fabric scraps.
To demonstrate its commitment to environmental protection and reducing CO2 footprint, Škoda is continuously advancing the use of innovative and sustainable materials across all products.
