At K 2025, there are  many cutting-edge technologies focusing on present hot topics, including recycling and emobility.

When developing multi-component soft-touch parts, design for recycling and CO2 footprint reduction are particularly challenging. At its booth, IKV is producing soft-touch wrist supports for computer keyboards on an ARBURG machine based on a two-component thermoplastic foam injection molding process with a chemical blowing agent. The production process is also intelligently set up, optimized and monitored live using an AI software that was developed by Osphim.

Envalior shows its innovation for mobility. Reducing weight and cost of pressure tanks that were used to made with steel and aluminum. This Type IV hydrogen tank is made entirely from thermoplastics with blow-molded, injection-molded, or even roto-molded Durethan and Akulon PA6 liners combined with high-strength UDea thermoplastic composite tapes.

Asahi Kasei brings two groundbreaking technologies to its K stage. First is the recycling technology that can recover continuous carbon fibers from CFRP pressure vessels in used automobiles. Another innovation is the new grade of PFAS-free low friction polyamide (PA). The material has the same low-friction properties as fluororesins.
