Tomra Sorting Recycling, a business stream within Tomra Sorting Solutions, introduces its TITECH sensor-based waste sorting solutions at the 10th International Recycled Polyester Forum, which is held from September17-19 in Shanghai, China.

Tomra emphasized that its automated TITECH sensor-based sorting technologies can assist in the processing of locally generated PET bottles and flakes, particularly for numerous smaller and medium-size businesses that are now engaged in the sorting of PET and various domestic waste streams in China.

"At Tomra we are very excited to be participating once again in the International Recycled Polyester Forum," said Jacob Rognhaug, Country Manager at Tomra Sorting Recycling, China. "More than 60 units of our cutting-edge sorting equipment, sold under the TITECH brand, were already installed in China."

At the conference, Kelly Xie, Sales Manager at Tomra, discussed the commercial, legislative and environmental benefits of the TITECH system. As said, it enable a high recovery rate, at a high level of purity, based on material, color and metal detection for the sorting of bottles and flakes.

In addition, Tomra stated that its new Test Center, which came into operation in Xiamen in January 2014, is able to offer test reports based on waste samples supplied by its customers.

These reports include analysis of the constituents of the sample, details of the test process, the test results and recommended solutions and follow-up procedures.

The International Recycled Polyester Forum 2014 is organized jointly by the Recycled Fibers Committee of the China Chemical Fiber Association (CCFA), the China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI), and Dr. Thiele Polyester Technology.
