Nov 23, 2010
AWS Eco Plastics, currently Europe's largest plastic bottle recycling facility, is reported to officially reopen on November 23 after a fire that suspended its expansion plan. AWS Eco Plastics is based in Hemswell, North Lincolnshire, UK.
After its reopening, the facility can process 100,000 tons of plastic waste from UK. It is also able to clean and sort 300,000 tons of bottles per hour.
It is also reported that an ongoing plan will be in place to add another plant with processing capacity of 200,000 tons.
