Chinese government supports waste plastics recycling

Nov 28, 2007
The 2nd China International Plastics Recycling Conference recently took place in Guangdong, China.

Co-organized by China Working Committee for Import of Recycling Resources (CIRRC), and the Plastics Recycling Committee of China Plastics Processing Industry Association (PRC-CPPIA), the conference not only gathered senior government officials, enterprise leaders and industry experts, but also displayed the industry's new products and technology.

According to Li Jing, Deputy Director General of the Department of Resources Conservation and Environmental Protection of the National Development and Reform Committee (NDRC), the Chinese government concerns very much the recycling and reuse of waste plastics, so it is devoted to provide policy support to the development of the waste plastics recycling industry.

The Recycling Plastics Trade Fair was held concurrently.
