China's first waste plastics processing and recycling line for food packaging
Aug 15, 2006
The construction of China's first waste plastics processing and recycling line designed for food packaging started on August 10 at the county of Linyao, Gansu Province. The total investment of the project amounts to RMB83.38 million.
By employing the latest technologies from Germany, the waste plastics processing and recycling line uses waste beverage bottles as materials. Undergoing various processes including washing, sorting and breaking, the waste materials are turned into recycled plastic pellets, which can be used to manufacture up to standard bottles and packages for food storage.
After completion of the first stage of the project, it is estimated that the production capacity of the processing and recycling line will reach up to 8,000 tons per year.
