W&H to underline packaging solutions ready for circular economy at CHINAPLAS

Mar 21, 2023

At CHINAPLAS 2023, W&H will present its latest solutions for flexible packaging at its booth. Its extrusion, printing and converting experts will introduce the latest W&H innovations regarding the industry’s hot topics of circular economy, digitization and efficient production. With “Get in the Loop”, the company symbolizes that those three topics influence each other and together contribute to overall sustainability.

In particular, W&H will highlight new packaging solutions that are ready for circular economy. Examples that are made for recycling as well as solutions that use high percentages of recycled materials will be shown and it will be explained, how these are efficiently produced with W&H technologies, including RUBY.

With W&H´s IoT system RUBY, users can digitalize their value chain and use their data to monitor, automate and improve the packaging production. Now, with the new RUBY app, it is even easier to keep an eye on the production no matter where the users are.

At CHINAPLAS 2023, W&H will highlight new packaging solutions that are ready for circular economy.

For film applications, W&H will present its blown and cast film portfolio with a focus on environmentally friendly solutions for flexible packaging. The company sees mono-material packaging solutions on the rise and therefore it has advanced its technology for Machine Direction Orientation (MDO).

Both PE-films as well as EVOH films processed with MDO technology fulfill the requirements of the downstream processes and enhanced barrier properties – whilst maintaining recyclability.

For printing, the company will showcase machines for both CI Flexo & Gravure technology with a particular focus on functional barrier coating and water-based inks.

For converting, it will present its machine portfolio for tubs and bottoms for paper and PE sacks, including the valve bottomer AD Plastic 2 using hot air sealing technology and the new film for sift proof valve sacks (MP) and a light and strong bottom woven bag.

In addition, W&H and AVENTUS, a specialist for solutions for packing of free-flowing loose goods up to finished pallets, will show complete solutions. W&H will also be exhibiting GARANT bag making machines for paper.
