Husky Technologies recently hosted its Husky Connect Shanghai Open House and announced its long-term regional strategy – a major capacity expansion at its Shanghai Manufacturing Center of Excellence as well as the global introduction of HyCAP PRO, its next-generation injection molding system for high-output beverage closure manufacturing.

Husky also showed live demonstration of the HyCAP PRO at the recent Husky Connect Shanghai Open House.

Continuous investment in regional capacity

Husky first established a presence in China in 2004 with the opening of its Shanghai Manufacturing Center of Excellence. Today, the facility serves as the company’s regional headquarters and is a key manufacturing hub supporting customers across Asia Pacific and around the world.

Equipped with advanced technology and manufacturing capabilities, the Shanghai facility produces machines and tooling to meet best-in-class quality standards.

Ongoing investments in manufacturing, engineering, service, and technical expertise are expanding regional capacity and strengthening local support, enabling faster response times and solutions tailored to customers’ evolving needs.

HyCAP PRO: Higher productivity for closure manufacturing

Husky also announced the global introduction of HyCAP PRO, its next-generation injection molding system for high-output beverage closure manufacturing.

Purpose-built as an extension of Husky's proven HyCAP platform, HyCAP PRO combines advanced injection molding, tooling, and system technologies to deliver up to 45% higher productivity than Husky's traditional HyCAP system in like-for-like applications.

At the Open House event, attendees also had the opportunity to see live demonstrations of the HyCAP PRO system in action, including its new closure free-fall technology that decouples from the mold's open-and-close motion to minimize non-process time, enabling significantly faster cycles and higher output.

Introducing this new closure platform in Shanghai reflects the strategic importance of China to Husky's commitment to global innovation.
