Ampacet introduced ColorMark masterbatch, an additive from color etching technology that can create markings on dark plastic surfaces.

ColorMark provides high levels of contrast and shading and achieves superior precision on dark plastics. It is compatible with PP, PS, ABS, PC, PA and other engineered resins used in injection molding, thermoforming and sheet applications.

This unique technology produces permanent and weather-resistant color marking in black and dark plastic surfaces exposed to laser light, allowing users to add permanent color logos, intricate designs, serial numbers, QR codes and bar codes.

Ampacet introduced new masterbatch that create markings on dark plastic surfaces.

Designed for thermal chemical surface reactions, the new formulations are suited for fiber, YAG and vanadate lasers operating at a wavelength of 1060-1070nm. It is also available in FDA and NIR-sortable formulations.

Formulation chemistries and laser configurations can also be customized for desired marking contrast and functionality.

ColorMark is available in six popular colors – red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Custom colors are also available.
